NEVER STOP ASKING

Will our shares / apartment, depreciate or appreciate in value?

If you ask the owners of similar ships the same question they will tell you that depreciation is the norm?

One reason for this is of course that unlike Raffles they keep ownership, dont let you own the ship and all you are buying, at in most cases double the prices of Raffles, is a 50 years lease?

Also no other ship is designed for 100 years life as Raffles is!

Historically most commercial ships increase in value for the first 10 years of a typical 30 year design life, then start to decline in value. Large well built yachts by comparison tend to go on increasing in value about equal to current replacement costs until they become antiques, when values can increase again.

As Raffles is sold outright to you for about half to ¼ of our competitions prices, which is considered the market value of similar vessels, and as it has a 100 years life (probably 150) plus you own it, not just a lease, then we anticipate that your value on delivery, as above, will already be much higher than you’ve paid.

Thereafter it will probably appreciate for the first 20 years at 5 to 10% PA when it will start to decline as the potential buyers, or your heirs, look at a reducing life, 79, 78, 77 years, remaining.

Physically, providing Raffles is well maintained it will not change significantly in real value for as many as 80 to 90 years.

Of course if you also take into account what is said about global warming and the loss of many coastal areas, then in 20 years it could be even more attractive and valuable?
