NEVER STOP ASKING

What about safety onboard?

Raffles carries more safety equipment and has more protective systems than any other vessel afloat.

Most international safety measures (minimum) are mandated by the IMO (SOLAS) and for the record are far tougher than the airline industry faces. The Isle of Man and British Governments also have their own strict requirements that in many instances are higher than IMO.

With fire at sea of most concern worth noting is that Raffles is the only ship ever with a (separate) hi-fogT mist system installed on each deck and in the two machinery spaces.

Raffles exceeds, in some cases by as much a 300%, the safety requirements for a commercial, international, fully ocean going, unrestricted passenger vessel. Even though it is in practice a yacht!

This is common sense with for example no local fire service on call 2,000 miles up the Amazon or in the Antarctic. Tenants will be expected to participate in ensuring onboard safety and, as volunteers, assisting the crew as able and necessary.
