With no control and no knowledge of the occupancy of apartments it is not economical or practical to air condition them and provide hot water etc., 24-7. It would also be very wasteful, and everyone onboard or not will pay for this.
Each apartment is fitted with digital meters for both water and electricity which you can read at anytime so that you can easily monitor and control your individual costs. Practically what this means is that if you want you’re apartment at 10oC (50oF), all lights on 24-7, even though you are not there, then you pay for it, and not your neighbours. Individual apartments paying for what they use is also environmentally friendly and overall it reduces all the ships maintenance costs for power generation.
To help you save energy costs your apartment is very heavily insulated for both noise and thermal transmission / loss, and all lighting is low energy type.
For those times when your apartment is empty for long periods you can use the dehumidifiers that are included in your purchase price to protect your apartment’s contents.
We can if you are interested tell you what it would cost (extra) in your annual contribution to provide you “free” power and water.
